1. Get your provisional driving licence
You need to be 17 years old to start learning to drive and you will need to obtain a provisional driving licence. You can apply for this from the Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), you can do this on-line now or via post using application form D1 which is available from the post office.
Apply for a provisional licence up to three months before your 17th birthday, and you could book your first driving lesson for the big day!
2. Book your driving lessons
Driving Standards Agency research shows that the current average is
45 hours of tuition, with an additional 22 hours private practice to pass.
We will give you an idea of how many lessons you are likely to need after your first few lessons with us.
You will reduce your overall amount of lessons if you commit to having regular lessons and, in addition, complete any homework tasks that we may set.

3. Book your Theory Test
Once you have studied your highway code and have revised in depth your theory, you can apply for your theory test, you can do this on-line now or by calling 0300 200 1122, this test consists of a computer based question & answer session and hazard perception videos.
4. Book your Driving Test
When you have had sufficient lessons and passed the theory test, you will need to apply for your driving test, you can do this on-line now or by calling 0300 200 1122, your instructor will advise you about your readiness.
5. Book your Pass Plus training (Optional)
Now that you have passed why not take advantage of further training with Pass Plus, this will give you extra confidence while driving at night, on motorways and will lower your insurance premiums helping to offset the cost of Pass Plus.
